This page was also made with elements from the Great Outdoors Paper Pack. I chose to make a page for my grandson's hiking experiences at Day Camp. I used the brown checked paper for photo mats. I will make a second page to go with this for the journal mats. I'm still gathering the memorabilia to add to that page. The smaller photos show the tag element added to the title and the vellum word squares that came inside the paper pack. Thanks for stopping by. Let me know if you have any questions. Sue
A place to share my creations and inspirations with other card makers and scrapers.

Day Camp Fishing
My grandson is now a Boy Scout. When he was a Wolf Scout he went to Camp To-Pe-Ne-Bee for a week long
Day Camp. This page is for some of his fishing experiences. I used the fish paper as photo/journal mats. All elements of this page came from the Great Outdoors paper stack also. The smaller photos show the journal tag and pocket, and the decor elements. Thanks for stopping by. Let me know if you have any questions. Sue

Under the Stars

It is full of papers, card, punch outs and other items with bright colors. I am finally using it for layouts.
I have three grandchildren who live with me - all of which are scouts.
This layout is for my two Girl Scouts who stay at Camp Meadowbrook for their overnight camping experiences.
The frames are part of the punch outs and I used Scor Tape to attach the sides and bottom of each so the photos can be slid in from the top. The duck pocket was taped the same way and accommodates a journal tag highlighted in the picture below. The title, letters, lantern, marshmallows, trail map and cabin were also part of the paper pack.
This was an easy layout, so I made two others. Thanks for stopping by. Let me know if you have any questions. Sue
Changes
Wow, it has been a long time between posts. While I was recovering I did a lot of thinking about crafting. I love to make cards, but I find that I just store most of them. Many go to charitable organizations - OWH, Nursing Homes, etc. But more go in plastic boxes. So, I decided to take a break from card making. I will still make the cards I need for personal use, but I won't be entering cards into any challenges. Instead, I will concentrate on my scrapping. I have boxes and boxes of memorabilia waiting to be used in page layouts. I'm also going to try to scrap with what I have on hand. Not just to save money, but to regain space in my craft area.
So, I'll be back later today with some pages to show. Hope you come back to take a look.

Handmade Roses
I love flowers. Paper, real, silk, photographs - you name it I love it when it comes to flowers. I spend hours going through my garden books just admiring how God made so much beauty in such a small package know as an individual flower.
One of my most cherished possessions is a glass dome filled with roses made from soap. My sister gave it to me for my birthday many years ago. Here are some pictures:
They are so realistic and smell just like American Beauty roses. Which is nice, but the dome allows me to keep them, because the scents from most flowers send me into migraine headaches. So, I don't grow many flowers or herbs for that matter. But I still love them!
I've been experimenting with new techniques lately. I found a video that showed how to make paper roses with just a scallop punch, water, card stock and a brad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjsOonwEtJQ&feature=related Thank you Lisa. Here are my creations, not anywhere close to as beautiful as the soap or those in real life, but I'm pretty happy with them:
The baby is with a 1" scalloped circle punch.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.

Cricut Card Monday #6
Potted Sunflowers - This version of the Cricut Card cuts was a basic A2 card cut from page 28 of A Child Year. I used actual size and my Gypsy to cut the base of the card at 4.25" by 11".
The card stock and papers are from the 6" 12" stacks of Cricut paper. I used a MS Border punch to accent the green center panel. The flower pot, sunflowers, and garden tools are cut from A Walk In My Garden cartridge. I used the Cuttlebug to distress the pot and "gripper dots" to the handles of the garden tools.
Here are closeups and details:
Here is the inside of the card:

All Occasion Cards
I'm trying to get into Spring being three weeks away! At least according to the calendar. I found some absolutely beautiful iris, hydrangea, and lilac flowers by K & Company at JoAnns. This is what they inspired:
The Butterfly Card:
Aqua and lavender card stock ran through a Sizzix folder. The aqua is debossed and the lavender embossed. I used an EK Success border punch for both the border and the cutouts for the corners. The butterfly and flowers are from the K & Company flower dimensional package.
A closeup of the details and the inside of this card:
I used the aqua and plain white card stock for the inside of the card. Just one flower highlights the corner.
The Dragonfly Card:
A pale and a dark lavender along with white card stock, I used the EK Success Braid Border punch on both card stocks to add some interest to the bottom of the card. Both the dragon fly and the hydrangeas are from the K & Company dimensional package. Some white crochet cotton is wrapped around the center dark lavender strip, and a few gold gems to add some sparkle.
A closeup of the details and the inside of this card:
I chose not to add greetings at this point since they are suitable for many occasions.
