Tickled Pink

Welcome to "Tickled Pink" where you create a card or craft project using pink as your primary color. Mary at CardzTV is running this challenge from Friday, Feb 3rd at 12:01 AM EST to midnight EST on Sunday, Feb 5th with the challenge winner announced on the following Monday, Feb 6th. The challenge prize for this challenge will  be a set of CTV stamps of the winners choice.

I used a Cricut cut from Love Struck 2010 for my card:

I glitz-ed the card with Sticklels, dew drops (hearts and dots) and a rhinestone flower. She reminds me of a tormenting fairy that was on Fractured Fairytales, a cartoon show way back when, who went around bopping people over the head with her wand. I thought this card just screamed to me to use Mary's "Pucker Up" from her new "Garden Greetings" set!

Love Struck 2010 was a seasonal cartridge:
Have some fun with us and the color pink over at CardzTV. You should see what everyone's made - the projects are great! See you there.

BWO

Three simple letters
What does it mean?  More harmony in my life.
Why is it there?  Because I need less stress of in my life.
Where did it come from? tartx
What does it stand for? BLOGGING WITHOUT OBLIGATION
What tartx has taught me about posting only when I can:

  • Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill.
  • Because its okay to just say what you have to say. If that makes for a long post, fine. Short post, fine. Frequent post, fine. Infrequent post, fine.
  • Because its okay to not always be enthralled with the sound of your own typing.
  • Because sometimes less is more.
  • Because only blogging when you feel truly inspired keeps up the integrity of your blog.
  • Because they are probably not going to inscribe your stat, link and comment numbers on your tombstone.
  • Because for most of us blogging is just a hobby. A way to express yourself and connect with others. You should not have to apologize for lapses in posts. Just take a step back and enjoy life, not everything you do has to be “bloggable”.
  • Because if you blog without obligation you will naturally keep your blog around longer, because it won’t be a chore. Plus, just think you will be doing your part to eradicate post pollution. One post at a time. . .
Thank you so much.

Cousin Birthday Card

Just a short post today.  I'm still not feeling too well, but today is my favorite person's birthday.  She's my cousin, but we are more like twin sisters (except she's the pretty one).  Anyway, I wanted to do a card that reminds me of her so I picked this beautiful white rose and combined it with some soft and shiny pastels.  I got the top part of the sentiment from Bird, this just fantastic blogger!  Her creations are just fabulous.  Thank you Bird!!!  The flower is cut from a sheet out of the DCWV stack "Ciao Bella".  There's a couple of stickles and some white organza ribbon from my stash.  I used one of the Paper Lace Cuttlebug folders on part of the layering. The other embossing folder is by Sizzix.
