Cardz TV Stamp Challenge #3 The 3 Rs

This is a fun challenge and I hope you join in - you may just win.  Mary (our crazy card making leader) is giving a set of stamps to the challenge winner. I am a fairly new to stamping with clear stamps.  Mary's stamps are really easy to use and the results are great.
My project:   I used the X&O's stamp from "Encouraging Thoughts" to create a border at the top of the card!    I really like this stamp set.  I find I keep going back to it for all kinds of cards.  The sayings are versatile and help making those cards you need but don't always like to make (for me: sympathy/encouraging cards) a lot easier.
I chose to make a card to share love. Who couldn't use some hugs, kisses and love anytime?  "LOVE IS IN THE AIR"  at least waving around on a banner!

Recipe:
Card size A2 (5.5 x 4.25 inches)
Yellow card stock from Colorbok Pastel Cardstock Pack (5.25 x 4 inches)
Red (5.25 x 1 inches) and Black (card base) card stock from Recollections
Designer Paper - K and Company "Portabella Road" (banners)
Stamp
"X&O's" from CARDZ TV STAMPS "Encouraging Thoughts"
    Ink - Staz On Black
Embellishments
Ribbon - 1/4" Black satin WalMart,Yellow Tiny Ric Rac from Wrights
   Rhinestones from Recollections
Cricut Cuts
The banners and the lettering are cut from Calligraphy Collection.
The banner is on the "Celebrate" button and was cut at 2.29" high for banner and 2.38" high banner shadow
The font is on the "Shadow" button and was cut at .87" high
I like this cartridge because it offers so many sayings and images.  I was amazed that I found a banner, and I plan on using some of the other cuts on that page too!  Lyrical Letters is another fun cartridge for amazing images.  So don't forget to check out the images on your font cartridges.  You never know what you'll find!

This was Week #1 (January 6th, 2012):
Love of Self:

Recipe:
Paper: Card stock from my stash.  Both came from the same 8x8 pad, but I no longer have the cover.
The pink scallop is also from a scrap.  The pink inside sentiment (I know it looks yellow,
but I think there is something wrong with my picture editing software) is from Colorbok Pastel cardstock pack.
Ribbon: hot pink zig zag from Wrights
Flowers: hot pink roses from Prima Flowers
Bling: flat dazzle gems (from Hobby Lobby)
Stamp: "Love" from Encouraging Thoughts by Cardz TV Stamps  Ink - Staz On Black
Cricut Cuts: Elegant Edges swirl 2 oblong both pieces are cut at 5.25".  I joined them together to form a card type tag by adhering the back to the front with score tape inserting the ribbon between the two layers.
I really enjoyed working on this tag.  Thank you Janis for the inspirations.

Updating my card stash! Outlines Rubber Stamp Sketch

I've had so much fun this weekend adding new cards to my "Card Stash".  Lately I've been a creative slump; probably due t the rush of the holidays.  So, I spent time searching out new card "sketches",  "maps" or "recipes" to rekindle a spark of creativity.  I found this adorable card design at Outlines Rubber Stamps.  Of course, I missed the deadline because I didn't get my post done in time, but I loved making this card.
