Card for three

Challenge #56 at CCC - New Year's card and want you to incorporate a clock image from any cartridge.
PCS Challenge #27 - New Year's resolution
Paper Playtime #32 -  To use FACES on your project
Here's my entry:

The base card and background layer are from Christmas Cheer, the clock is from My Community, the Pig is from Animal Kingdom, the year numerals and the flower scallops are from Storybook, and the coins are from George.  I couldn't find my Peachy Keen stamps [moved my work area over Christmas Break and haven't found everything yet].  So I drew the faces using colored pencils.
Card cut - 9.35" w x 7.94" h in Craft Card Stock
Background cut - 8.83"w x 7.5" h in floral paper from my stack  I moved it on the gypsy so it would only cut the scalloped side of the card image.
Clock was cut at 1.81" w x 1.62" h  in white and the shadow was cut at the same size in black.
Pig was cut at 2.36" w x 1.3" h in pink
"2011" was cut at 1.51" w x.89" h in black
Gold coins were cut at .91" w x 85" h in sunshine yellow
Flower scallops were cut at 1.71" h in background print and 2.14" h in pink.

Also used were black brad, bright pink flower (between scallops), black cat's eye chalk, green floral leaves, self adhesive gems, and bright pink rub on stitches.

Thanks for stopping by.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Circut Cardz Challenge Entry

This is my first challenge entry for the Cricut Cardz Challenge.  The challenge was scallop shapes.  I took my inspiration from the beautiful creations at
http://www.shirleyscards.co.uk/cardwebsiteimages/web_images/birthday/Round-Scalloped-Card.jpg.

George, Storybook, When It's Cold Outside
The scallops are from the Storybook cartridge.  I used five.  Three are welded for the base of the card which I cut three times, one is the tag to close the gate, and one is the vellum background for the snowflake.  The snowflake is cut from When It's Cold Outside.  I apologize that I'm still using the scanner for imaging.  The colors are off because the card stock is a really dark blue and the designer paper is foil.  The velum scallop has white dots.  The card is a standard A2 gate fold, but when you open it up it is about 13 inches wide.  So I had to cut off part of the left side for one of the inside scans.
When you open the first flap
Fully opened

The village scene was from me & my BIG ideas specialty cardstock book.  I bought it at Big Lots - most beautiful paper ever.  I used one sheet: cut the houses from the bottom of the page and the snowflake on the vellum and the background of the village is from the top of the page of paper.  The cardstock for the base is from DCWV textured neutrals.  The bling is my favorite - dazzles.  I think the only one that use more dazzles than I do is Paulette Jarvey at PaperWishes and that's because she has an unlimited supply!  Thanks Paulete :)

Thanks for taking a peek.

So, this is the diaper cake...

I created this diaper cake for a baby shower this Saturday.  I've seen many of them on the web, but have never tried to make one before.  I will post some urls of blogs I visited to get inspiration at the bottom of this post.  My sweet, sweet son took before and after pictures for me to post.  So, here goes.

This is a picture of the plain cake:

Now, here it is iced with the Cricut:

The paper is from DCWV Stack 7 and Recollections white card stock.  The flowers are from Prima and the silver cord is plastic canvas cording from DMC.   There's my stork I posted a few days ago.  The white "icing" pattern is from StoryBook.  It is one of the border cuts.  I welded two together and made them 4 1/4 inches by 11 1/2 inches long.  They are glued on 4 inch strips of blue paper before I wrapped the layers.

I hope you like it.  Please leave a comment if you have time.    Thanks for taking a peek.
