Holiday Cookbook Day 2

Welcome back to day two of the 10 day series of Holiday Recipes.  Today's recipe is a very versatile sour cream cookie called Plantation Creams.  This was a recipe my mother relied on every Christmas.  She made hundreds of them to add to the gift baskets she and my father gave out each year.  Since this is a plain cookie that has a soft dough, you can add tons of things to it to stretch the recipe into making 6 to 7 dozen 2.5" cookies.  Ours typically included a cup each of chocolate chips, chopped dates, chopped nuts (walnuts and pecans mixed), chopped Maraschino cherries, coconut, and raisins.  However, I have used this cookie to make just chocolate chip cookies, macadamia nut and white chocolate chip cookies, date and nut cookies, and plain soft sugar cookies.  My son's favorite is still the original 6 cup mix.

Here is the double page layout:

The same "recipe" for the page layout continues.  6" by 6" squares of white card stock.  Topped with 5 3/4" by 5 3/4" designer paper - this time green.  A green and white border rectangle, 1 1/2" by 5 3/4", is placed at the top of the page.  Embellishments include white paper flowers with red brads, silver stick on buttons, and stick on snowflakes.  A tan card stock was used for the computer generated recipe and titlesHere are the closeups of both pages.

Thanks for stopping by.  Let me now if you have any questions.
