Baby Shower Stork

I made this stork for an upcoming baby shower.  It will be part of the top of a diaper cake I am making.  I don't have a camera yet, so I scanned the image.  Hope it is all right.

I used Recollection papers, fall yellow, baby blue, parchment.  The cuts are from Cricut Holiday Cakes page 41.  Mine is 8 inches tall and I had to turn it sideways to cut on my Baby Bug.  I used the stork, the plain shadow and plain shadow shift cuts.   I cut the plain shadow three times from white card stock and glued them together.  I cut the baby blanket off the stork  (yellow card stock).

I used Cuttlebug folders tiny bubbles for bird legs only, argyle for baby blanket, and swiss dots for stork's wing - using chalks to highlight the embossing.   The eye and nostril are free handed with gel pen.

I hope you like it.  If you can, please leave a comment.

  1. What a cute cute stork design. I love the way you have utilized the different Cuttlebug embossing folders. It's a sweet card.

  2. Gee you did a good job on your bird. I have made these cakes for years for baby showers and for weddings. Diapers for the babies and towels etc for the bride and groom. I now have the cricut but have not made a cake with the cricut. You are so talanted. I saw all of the work you did on Mary's blog, boy you really did a lot of work on that book and your cards are so cute. I loved the little dog card, how clever. Blessings...Pam
