For my card I chose the "boys and their toys" stamp and made a little boy's birthday card.
I made the card front by gluing strips of patterned papers to a rectangle of green paper. I used papers from a pack of papers from Target. The package included pages themed around cars, planes and trains.
I chose these three sheets and cut strips that gave me the best selection of images. I had to cut off part of the train, but I think it still looks fine.
I had so much fun making this card. I got to use all kinds of brads and papers and I just love the bright primary colors. I stamped "boys and their toys" on craft card because it reminded me of all the boxes my son used to play with - you know when they play with the box and not the toy :) I attached two Lego brads to the craft card before popping it up on foam tape. I placed two cloud buttons, threaded with small slits of blue paper, to the top section.
I used a short piece of white mini ric rac to make the smoke from the train engine. I attached a metal tag that says "Birthday Boy" at the end. There's a hot air balloon brad and a pinwheel brad on the left side of the card,
I hope you stop on over to Mary's blog to look at all the "Guy Things" that my design team sisters have created. I know you won't be disappointed.
The brads and the Birthday Boy tag are from Eyelet Outlet & Brads. The papers from Target. The ribbon is from WalMart. The stamp from CTVS. I used StazOn Black ink for the sentiment, and Color Blok black chalk to edge the papers. The card measures 5.5" by 4.25".
Thanks for stopping by. I'd love to hear from you, so if you can leave a comment I'd smile a lot!!!!
